IDERM ELECTRIC SKIN TREATMENT

The IDerm Electric Skin Treatment is the newest treatment at Infuse Skin and Body.  The IDerm treatment is also referred to as the Hannibal Lecter Facial because of the masks used in the treatment,  The Iderm uses electrical current to deep cleanse and firm the skin.  It is a four part process that delivers immediate results.  You will notice firmer skin, tighter pores, softened skin, and a healthy glow.  The Iderm treatment has been seen on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, ‘The Doctors’, ‘E! News Daily’, and ‘Good Morning America’ to name a few.  It has also been featured in Vogue magazine.

Benefits of IDerm
Before any skin treatment, your skin will be evaluated, however, for the most part, all skin types can benefit from an IDerm treatment.

IDerm can:

How to Prepare for IDerm
During the week prior to IDerm:

• Do not tan or use a self-tanner
• Do not use aggressive scrubs or masks
• Do not get Botox or Injectable Fillers
• Discontinue prescription strength Retin A

What to Expect During an IDerm Treatment
The entire procedure takes about one hour.  An extra 15 minutes can be added for extra cleansing and/or tightening.   The IDerm treatment is a four step process:

• Skin Prep – After slipping into a gown and being wrapped in blankets, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed and examined.
• Deep Cleanse – Your face will be packed with cotton, soaked in a specific solution to relax and soften the skin, open the pores and breakdown impacted debris.  It stimulates blood flow to break up and carry toxins away and give nutrition to dry, pale or discolored skin.  A special facial electrode mask is then placed over the cotton packing to deliver an even flow of low amperage galvanic current.
• Extraction –  After the first mask is removed, the skin will be vacuumed and extractions performed to remove impurities in the skin.
• Tightening – Your face will again be packed with cotton soaked in a specific solution to rejuvenate the skin.  It creates a non-moving friction deep in the inner layers of the skin which promotes new cell growth, firms the tissue, improves color tone, is germicidal and tightens the pores and soothes the tissue.  The facial electrode mask is placed over this cotton packing to draw the solutions into the skin.

What Happens After an IDerm Treatment
Your skin will feel smoother and firmer.  You can be slightly red to pink for two hours, but makeup can be applied immediately.

How Often Should You Receive an IDerm Treatment
I recommend that the IDerm treatment be done every four to six weeks.  Initially, it can be done once a week for six weeks to make a dramatic change in the skin, then once every four to six weeks for maintenance.
